Week 2 round up

The second round of fixtures in the SFL Super League took place on Sunday night with reigning Champions Wattcell Futsal Club already out on their own with a 100% record.
Both Perth teams entered the competition this week, and PYF Saltires were unable to fend off a powerful Wattcell performance, despite some good individual displays in particular from Kelly who made the team of the week. McLeish was the stand out man for the champions who ran out comfortable winners.

The other Perth team, FC Santos, got their campaign off to a great start taking an early lead through a brace from Davies, but a rejuvenated Polonia Edinburgh came out in the second half and deservedly took the lead through Pyda, Rusin (a contender for goal of the week) and Schwichtenberg. Santos managed to salvage a draw with a last gasp equaliser from skipper Mollison but both teams will be disappointed with a draw.
The Dundee derby between Stars Ltd and Dundee Futsal Club saw the latter get their title challenge back on course after a poor start two weeks ago and goalkeeper Kamil Kajetaniak put in a powerful display to keep Stars at bay. Brother Cezary was also on good form and grabbed a brace, as did Pirrie and Ogilvie, the latter scoring the goal of the week from just outside his own penalty box. Cameron kept up his impressive scoring record with a consolation for Stars.
Goal of the week – Gavin Ogilvie, Dundee Futsal Club v Stars Ltd
Player of the week – Sebastian Pyda, Polonia Edinburgh
Team of the Week
Kamil Kajetaniak – Dundee Futsal Club
Sebastian Pyda – Polonia Edinburgh
Craig McLeish – Wattcell Futsal
Liam Kelly – PYF Saltires
Fraser Smith – FC Santos
